From one perspective the heart and blood can be seen as corresponding to love. As blood gives life, so love gives life meaning and direction. The heart symbolizes all aspects of love, from the romantic to the divine. When the heart energy is not in harmony we may experience:

A friend took her car to the garage because her oil warning light came on. The mechanic told her she could take the quick easy option or fix it properly – she chose the ‘easy’ option and tem minutes later was driving off with no warning light showing. Next day as she sat by the roadside waiting for a tow truck she rang the mechanic ands asked what he had down – easy he said –I just took the bulb out!
